Stuffed chicken with vegetables, baked in the oven
Description
Chicken stuffed with vegetables, baked in the oven at home, can become a real centerpiece for any table. Moreover, this dish is very filling, and even a beginner cook can prepare it. I highly recommend brushing it with mayonnaise and wrapping it in foil before putting it in the oven.

Step 1

1. What to stuff the chicken with? It's usually filled with vegetables. I decided to use potatoes, onion, carrots, and mushrooms. To me, it's the perfect combination. First, chop the potatoes.

Step 2

2. Sauté the mushrooms with the onion until golden brown. Add the potatoes to the mushrooms and simmer them slightly.

Step 3

3. You can sauté them with vegetables and tomatoes. Some people add them raw—it's up to you. Either way, they will pair perfectly.

Step 4

4. Now stuff our chicken and close it well. It's better to sew it up and secure with toothpicks. Next, coat the chicken with mayonnaise and wrap it in foil. Bake in the oven for about an hour over medium heat. Remove the foil 10-15 minutes before it's done and let the chicken stay in the oven a bit longer. This is done to give it a golden color and crispy crust.

5. When it's ready, serve it at the table. Place salad leaves on the serving dish in advance, and arrange fresh vegetables around the sides of the chicken. Suitable vegetables for this dish include lemons, cherry tomatoes, parsley, and salad leaves. Present the dish as you prefer.
