Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I recommend making chicken stuffed with mushrooms and potatoes to absolutely everyone, whether for a holiday or just for dinner. This dish is truly worth trying, as it's incredibly delicious, and considering how easy and simple it is to make, this recipe for chicken stuffed with mushrooms and potatoes is simply priceless. However, if you're preparing it for a large group, I suggest making extra side dish separately to ensure there's enough for everyone. 1) At the preparation stage, thoroughly wash the chicken carcass and dry it well with paper towels. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes, finely chop the onion, and slice the mushrooms into small pieces. 2) Place a frying pan over heat, melt half of the butter in it, then add the potatoes and lightly sauté until they turn slightly golden. Transfer the potatoes to a clean bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. 3) Add the remaining butter to the frying pan and sauté the onion until soft. Add the mushrooms and cook until golden brown. 4) Transfer the sautéed mushrooms and onions to the bowl with the potatoes, add chopped herbs, and mix everything well. 5) Next, mix your favorite spices with about a teaspoon of salt and rub the mixture thoroughly all over the chicken, both inside and out. Fill the chicken with the prepared stuffing and sew up the opening to prevent the filling from falling out. 6) Place the chicken on a baking tray and put it in the oven. Bake at 180°C (356°F). Cooking time depends on the weight of the chicken—approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes per kilogram. 7) While the chicken is cooking, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, and minced garlic in a small bowl. During baking, brush the chicken with this mixture 2–3 times. Such a simple recipe! If you'd like to prepare an additional side dish, cut potatoes and any vegetables into chunks, mix them with vegetable oil, salt, and spices, and place them on the baking tray next to the chicken about half an hour before the chicken is done. Enjoy your meal! The finished dish is ready to serve.
