
Chicken Dhansak
Description
The recipe won't take much time. A recipe for preparing a popular Parsi dish. The Parsis lived on the western coast of India. Serve hot.

Pour water and place the kettle on. Peel and chop the potatoes. Roughly chop the onion and peppers. Crush 3 garlic cloves. Add lentils and ginger powder. Add turmeric and tamarind.

Pour boiling water over the mixture of ingredients and simmer over medium heat for 20–30 minutes. If necessary, add more water as it evaporates. Chop and sauté the onion in a deep saucepan, first adding 2 tablespoons of oil.

Make the paste: Pour a small amount of water over 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 3 teaspoons good masala (or curry powder), 1 teaspoon cumin, 2 teaspoons coriander, 2 teaspoons red chili powder.

When the onion has been sautéed for 10 minutes, add the paste. Sauté for another 5 minutes over medium heat.

Chop the coriander, tomatoes, and garlic, and add to the onion. Fry for another 5 minutes.

Cut the chicken into pieces. When the vegetables are ready, add them to a large pot with the chicken and unrefined palm sugar.

Cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Add juice from 1 pineapple disc. After 20 minutes, add pineapple cut into pieces and lime juice. Cook for another 10 minutes.
