Whole grilled chicken in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The cooking time for rotisserie grilled chicken is about 75–90 minutes at 210 degrees. Perfectly roasted chicken will have a crispy, beautifully caramelized crust. However, cooking time may vary depending on the type of oven. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Chop all the herbs and garlic, add to a bowl with olive oil, and mix well.
- 2
Step 2
Rinse the chicken under cold running water, pat dry, and make several cuts on the breast.
- 3
Step 3
Rub the chicken inside and outside with the prepared mixture, and work the aromatic mixture into the cuts.
- 4
Step 4
Rub the entire chicken with extra olive oil, place it in a container, sprinkle with more herbs, cover with a lid, and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours.
- 5
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 210 degrees before cooking.
- 6
Step 6
After marinating, place the chicken on a spit and tie the wings and legs with kitchen twine.
- 7
Step 7
Place the spit in the oven, and on the rack below, put a pan with water or red wine (this will give the chicken a pleasant aroma). Roast the whole chicken on the grill for 1 to 1.5 hours.
- 8
Step 8
If you intend to bake potatoes as well, remove the water pan 30–35 minutes before the chicken is done, and place a baking sheet with sliced potatoes in its place, allowing them to roast in the drippings from the grilled chicken.

Step 9
Our delicious grilled chicken is ready. Serve it hot with spicy tomato sauce, fresh herbs, and fresh bread.
