Homemade kupaty
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Traditionally, kupaty are made from a mixture of beef and pork mince. I thought they would be even more tender with veal, so I used it instead of beef. Add the fat according to taste: if you want your kupaty to be rich and juicy, then the fat is just right. For homemade kupaty, we'll also need ready-made casings, which should be rinsed beforehand. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Grind the veal and pork to make minced meat, then mix well. If using ready-made minced meat, thaw it in advance and mash it with a fork.
- 2
Step 2

Soak the intestines in advance in salted water, then clean and rinse them.

Step 3

It's very convenient to stuff kupati using a sausage and hot dog attachment for a meat grinder. I make my kupati long, then tie them with string in several places.

Step 4

Homemade kupaty can be stored in the refrigerator or cooked immediately.

Step 5

For example, you can bake them in the oven. Line a baking sheet with foil, place a rack on it, and put the sausages on the rack. Bake at 200 degrees for about 30-35 minutes. Just don't forget to prick the sausages in several places so they don't burst.
