Easter Bread
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. You can prepare the Easter "Cinnabon" loaf with a different filling, choosing ingredients to your taste. As for decoration, this loaf also goes well with a protein glaze or cream cheese frosting, as in the classic recipe for popular buns. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Start by preparing the required ingredients. Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance so it softens. Grate the orange zest using a grater and thoroughly rinse the raisins.
- 2
Step 2

Dissolve dry yeast in warm milk, adding 1 tablespoon of sugar from the total amount. After 5-7 minutes, the yeast will activate.
- 3
Step 3

Separately beat the eggs with granulated sugar (100 g minus 1 tbsp) and vanilla sugar until slightly foamy.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the egg mixture into the milk with yeast, add salt, and mix well.
- 5
Step 5

Gradually add the previously sifted flour to the liquid mixture in parts and knead the dough.
- 6
Step 6

When the dough begins to come together into a ball, add the soft butter (50 g) and knead the enriched dough by hand.
- 7
Step 7

Cover the finished dough with a towel or plastic wrap and let it sit in a warm place for 50–60 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

While the dough is rising, prepare the "Cinnabon" filling for the kulich: mix the remaining soft butter (100 g), granulated sugar (50 g), raisins ground in a blender (can be left whole), orange zest, and cinnamon.
- 9
Step 9

After the specified time, the dough will increase in volume by approximately 2.5-3 times.
- 10
Step 10

Knead the risen yeast dough by hand and place it on a large floured cutting board.
- 11
Step 11

Roll out the dough into a rectangular sheet 10-15 mm thick, evenly spread the prepared filling over its surface, and cut the sheet into 4 equal strips.
- 12
Step 12

Roll one of the resulting strips into a tight roll.
- 13
Step 13

Place the roll made from the first strip at the end of the second strip and wrap it around. This will make the roll even thicker. Repeat the same steps with the remaining strips.
- 14
Step 14

As a result, you will get a voluminous, multi-layered roll with filling. Quickly and carefully transfer it to a baking pan (20 cm in diameter). After 10-15 minutes of resting, place the kulich in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
- 15
Step 15

Remove the ready "Cinnabon" kulich from the oven and let it cool slightly. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with butter (30 g) in a double boiler.
- 16
Step 16

Drizzle the kulich with melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles, coconut flakes, or anything else of your choice.
