Easter Kulich in a Bread Maker
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. When preparing Easter bread, raisins and dried fruits are usually coated in flour to prevent them from sinking to the bottom. In this case, it's not necessary. The dough is quite dense, so the raisins won't sink and will be evenly distributed throughout. The main thing is to make sure no raisins remain on the surface of the risen bread. During baking, raisins on the crust will burn. Carefully push them into the dough with a knife so they sink inside. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To prepare the kulich, sift the flour twice. This will enrich it with air.
- 2
Step 2

Place flour into the bread machine bowl. Add eggs (3 yolks and 1 white), sugar, salt, instant dry yeast, butter, milk, and vanilla.
- 3
Step 3

We will cook using the "Panasonic 2501" bread machine. Insert the baking pan into the bread machine. Turn it on. Close the lid. Select the program on the display and press start.

Step 4

The bread machine will allow the ingredients to reach a uniform temperature. During the first 10 minutes, prepare the dried fruits. My bread machine has a dispenser, which makes it possible to add ingredients at the right time. Place the dried fruits into the dispenser. I cut the apricots into thin strips. If your machine doesn't have a dispenser, add the dried fruits into the bread machine 30 minutes after the kneading starts. Alternatively, press "stop" after the kneading cycle, manually mix the dried fruits into the dough, then resume the program.

Step 5

The bread machine will do its job. You won't need to intervene (if you have a dispenser). While the baking is in progress, beat 2 egg whites, adding 3-4 tablespoons of sugar. The more sugar you add, the drier the icing on the kulich will be. I used 4 tablespoons, but you can also use 6.
- 6
Step 6

Brush the finished kulich with the prepared fondant icing. Decorate with sugar decorations.
- 7
Step 7

Serve the kulich at the table.
- 8
Step 8

Here's the Easter bread sliced. I couldn't resist cutting it while it was still warm, but it's so delicious and fragrant, and the dried fruits don't sink to the bottom. Everything is evenly distributed and tasty.
