
Easter bread made with milk and egg yolks

1. Dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup of warm milk with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until foam forms.

2. Add a glass of sifted flour, mix and let it sit, covered with a towel, for 20 minutes.

3. Separate the yolks from the whites.

4. Mix the yolks with the remaining sugar and vanilla extract. Melt the butter, then let it cool.

5. Add salt and butter to the bowl and start mixing.

6. Pour the milk into the yolks. Add the sifted flour and knead a smooth dough. Cover with a towel and let it rise in a warm place.

7. Add raisins or candied fruits to the risen dough to taste. Gently mix and let the dough rise again, increasing in size 3-4 times.

8. When the dough has risen well, divide it into molds.

9. Brush the top with beaten egg yolk.

10. Bake the kulich at 180 degrees for 30 to 65 minutes, depending on the size of the molds.
