
Monastery Easter Bread
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This dish is a must for Easter—the Monastery-Style Easter Kulich. Mix hot milk with melted butter, sugar, salt, and let it cool. Add yeast dissolved in warm milk, flour, and let it rise for an hour. Then add one whole egg and one yolk, raisins, and knead the dough. Grease baking molds with butter and fill them halfway with dough. Let it rise again, then bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 180°C. Prepare the icing by whisking egg white with powdered sugar. Let the kuliches cool, then glaze them and sprinkle with colored sugar. Wishing you a wonderful holiday! Serve with tea or coffee.

Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of warm milk.

Mix the remaining milk with the melted butter, sugar, and salt, then cool.

Add the yeast and flour, mix and leave in a warm place to rise.

After about an hour, when the dough has risen well, add one whole egg and one yolk, raisins, and knead.
