
Kulebyaka
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The suggested version of kulebyaka can be served on the New Year's table, giving it the shape of the upcoming symbol of the year. The pie on the table will look very original. Be sure to try. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Prepare the necessary ingredients. Defrost the puff pastry in advance.

Cut the onion into quarter rings and fry until done in 3 Tbsp vegetable oil.

Set aside half of the fried onion. To the remaining onion add the ground meat. Salt, add pepper, stir. Fry until done, stirring.

Wash the mushrooms and slice them into thin pieces. Place them in a pan and sauté until the liquid evaporates.

Add the set-aside fried onion. Salt, add pepper. Stir, heat for a couple of minutes and turn off the heat.

Puff pastry, if it is in a roll, divide it into two parts.

Using a paper stencil, shape the dough into a drop. Set aside the dough scraps.

Cut out this preparation from lavash, making 4 pieces.

Transfer the dough preparation onto a buttered baking sheet.

Place half of the fried ground meat on the dough. Smooth it out.

Cover the layer of filling with a lavash sheet.

Roll out the second piece of dough slightly larger than the stencil one and cover the prepared pie. Tuck the dough edges under the bottom layer of the kulobeyka dough.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. On the baking sheet with the pie, place the decorative pieces. Bake the kulich for 35 minutes in the hot oven. Remove the decorative pieces after 10 minutes of baking.

Transfer the baked goods to a board or dish. Cool it. Finish the “mouse” decoration. Make piercings in the cake and secure the preparations.
