
Corn syrup
Description
This syrup can be used as a substitute for honey in baking, as well as served with pancakes and pancakes. You can easily make corn syrup at home! Store it in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator.

Remove the husks from the corn cobs, then cut the cobs into pieces (about 2-3 cm thick). Place the corn in a saucepan, pour in water, put on the heat, and bring to a boil.

After boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for about 90 minutes until the liquid reduces by half.

Remove the pot from the heat, take out the corn, and strain the resulting liquid through cheesecloth.

Add salt, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla sugar to the saucepan, return to heat, and heat while stirring until the sugar granules dissolve.

Reduce the liquid by half until a thick consistency is reached, stirring the syrup occasionally with a spoon.

Pour the finished syrup into a jar, cool it down, and put it in the refrigerator. Store it for several weeks and use as needed.
