
Corn balls with onion and bell pepper
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Hushpuppies are a Southern American dish consisting of cornmeal balls, deep-fried or baked in the oven. They are served as a side dish with seafood. Usually made at home. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Grease a mini-muffin pan with oil. In a medium bowl, whisk together corn flour, wheat flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

2. Beat the egg in a separate container. Add vegetable oil and milk.

3. Finely chop the red pepper, jalapeño, and green onion.

4. Mix all ingredients together with a rubber spatula.

5. Place 1 tablespoon of batter into each compartment of a mini muffin tin. If using a regular muffin tin, place 2–3 tablespoons of batter into each compartment. If you have empty compartments left, fill them with water – this will help distribute heat evenly throughout the pan.

6. Bake the balls in a preheated oven until golden brown for 15-20 minutes if using a regular pan, and 8-12 minutes if using a mini muffin pan. Drizzle the warm balls with honey and serve immediately.
