
Cuban sandwich
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. The Cuban sandwich will delight fans of hearty snacks. The tenderest meat pairs perfectly with a mayonnaise-garlic sauce and the sweetness of fried onion. Bell pepper adds a fresh note to this sandwich. Serve with herbs and sauce.

1. Prepare all the ingredients for the marinade — orange juice, limes, 6 cloves of garlic, one onion, salt, pepper, and parsley.

2. Place the piece of pork in a bowl with orange juice.

3. Add the peeled and finely chopped onion and garlic to the pork.

4. Season with salt and pepper, add chopped parsley and lime juice. The pork should marinate for 12–24 hours.

5. After 12 hours, place the pork with the marinade in a baking dish, having removed the pieces of onion and garlic. Bake in the oven at 120°C for three hours.

6. Shred the cooked meat with a fork, remove the bone, and leave the pork in the juice for 20 minutes.

7. While the meat is resting, slice the onion into large half-moons and sauté in oil until tender.

8. Mix the mayonnaise with minced garlic (three cloves); you can also add a little chopped parsley. Cut the baguette in half.

9. Spread one half of the baguette with mayonnaise and garlic sauce, and place cheese slices on it as well. On the other half, place bell pepper sliced into rounds, the meat with its juices, and fried onions.
