Round cake
Description
Delicious baked dish for the whole family. To keep the pie from becoming dry, add broth to the filling. For making this round pie, I recommend using mixed minced meat: pork and beef. Spicy pepper is, of course, optional, but I personally like it. With the given amount of ingredients, you can make not just one, but two round pies (if using small molds). Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Make the dough: sift one kilogram of flour. Make a depression in the resulting "mound" and add warm water or milk, softened butter (you can also add vegetable oil), egg, baking powder, and salt. Mix and knead the dough by hand.
- 2
Step 2

Knead the dough, then cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest in a warm place for about 30 minutes. After that, add another 100 grams of flour and knead the dough thoroughly.
- 3
Step 3

Let's prepare the filling: add chopped onion, garlic, chili pepper, and spices to the minced meat. Mix well, then add the broth. Let it sit for about 30 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Divide the dough into two parts: a larger one and a smaller one.
- 5
Step 5

Roll out the larger part and place it into a round baking dish, previously greased with oil.
- 6
Step 6

Spread the filling evenly.
- 7
Step 7

Roll out the smaller portion of the dough and place it on top of the pie, sealing the edges tightly and neatly. Make slits in the shape of strips and a circle.
- 8
Step 8

Place the pie in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. After about 15–20 minutes, add a little more broth (through the hole). Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and brush the surface with egg yolk. Bake until a golden crust forms and a characteristic aroma appears. The pie should turn golden.

Step 9

Here's such a beautiful round cake I ended up with.
