Cherry croissants
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. Let's get started. Cherry croissants are made following the same principle as croissants with any other filling. Don't forget that cherries must be pitted. 1. First, prepare the dough and the filling. Defrost the dough and cherries if they were frozen. 2. I recommend not sweetening the cherries. Even if they are sour, they will pair perfectly with the plain dough! 3. Roll out the dough into a sheet about half a centimeter thick. 4. Cut it into large triangles. 5. Place the berries on the wide part of each triangle—about one teaspoon of cherries per triangle. 6. Roll the dough triangles with the berries into croissants. 7. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). 8. Place the cherry croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush them with beaten egg. 9. Bake for about 30 minutes. Before serving, dust the cherry croissants with powdered sugar. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
