Croissants with ham and cheese
Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. I recommend buying ready-made puff pastry, just thaw it and start cooking. This will be more convenient and faster, especially if you want to make croissants for breakfast. Cut the dough into triangles, place ham and cheese on each, roll them up, and bake in the oven. In half an hour, you'll have a wonderful breakfast dish ready.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

To make ham and cheese croissants, we will need yeast-raised puff pastry, thinly sliced ham, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, sesame seeds, and an egg for brushing.
- 2
Step 2

Grate the Parmesan into thin shavings.
- 3
Step 3

Roll out the pre-thawed dough in one direction into a long strip 16-18 cm wide. Cut the dough into triangles.
- 4
Step 4

Brush the triangles with a thin layer of Dijon mustard with seeds.
- 5
Step 5

Place pieces of ham on the base of the triangle; there's no need to fill the entire triangle, otherwise it will be difficult to roll.
- 6
Step 6

Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the entire surface.
- 7
Step 7

Roll up the croissants starting from the base of the triangle; bend the finished croissant into a horseshoe shape as much as the ham allows.
- 8
Step 8

Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 180°C for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.

Step 9

Place the croissants in a basket and serve warm. These croissants can also be eaten cold, as a snack.
