Croissants made with puff pastry with chocolate
Description
The baking is simple and quick. I love delicious pastries, especially ones that require less effort. For example, croissants. Do you think making croissants in your own kitchen is difficult? Well, yes, if you spend half a day making puff pastry from scratch. But there's an alternative—ready-made puff pastry is now available in stores. Just find a good quality one and use it. I'll show you how to easily make chocolate croissants at home using store-bought puff pastry.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Take the ready-made puff pastry out of the freezer in advance and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it thaw at room temperature. Then roll out the pastry into a sheet about 4-5 mm thick and cut it into long triangles.
- 2
Step 2

Place several pieces of chocolate on the shortest side of the triangle. To make the chocolate easier to break, put it in the refrigerator for a while, then break it into pieces.

Step 3

Next, we roll the croissants into crescent shapes, pressing the dough firmly. But to make our croissants look like authentic ones, we need to shape them into a crescent.
- 4
Step 4

To give the croissants a golden, beautiful crust, brush them with beaten egg.

Step 5

Croissants should be baked using a special technique: first at 220 degrees Celsius for about 5 minutes, then at 180-190 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let the croissants cool slightly before serving them with coffee or tea.
