Crescents without yeast
Description
The recipe won't take much time. We'll prepare yeast-free croissants at home. The dough is made from flour, milk, and sugar. Then it's brushed with butter and rolled up into a log to create several layers (puff pastry). The finished dough is cut into triangles, and a piece of butter and sugar is placed in the center of each. Next, the croissants are brushed with egg yolk, sprinkled with sesame seeds, and baked in the oven until done. Good luck!

Step 1

Put flour into a bowl, add sugar and milk. Now knead a stiff dough.

Step 2

First, roll out the dough into a thin layer, then cut it into two equal parts. Spread each part with room-temperature butter. Then place one piece on top of the other, buttered sides together, aligning the edges. Roll the dough tightly into a log, and place it in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Place 1 teaspoon of butter mixed with sugar in the center of each triangle. Roll the dough into a crescent shape (from the narrow end to the wide end) to form croissants. Transfer them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each croissant with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven until golden brown (about 25 minutes).
