Rabbit with mayonnaise, baked in the oven
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. You can cook rabbit in mayonnaise for both a family dinner and any festive occasion. The meat turns out tender, juicy, and extremely delicious! It pairs perfectly with any side dish. The only downside of this dish is that it takes a long time to cook. Therefore, use foil when baking, otherwise the meat will dry out. The ready dish can now be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

If you have a whole carcass, first cut it into portion pieces, rinse, and dry with a paper towel.

Step 3

Peel the garlic and finely chop it. To prepare the marinade, mix mayonnaise with the chopped garlic. Add vegetable oil, a little salt, and spices. When adding salt, keep in mind that some amount is already present in the mayonnaise. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

Step 4

Completely coat the dried rabbit with the resulting marinade. Try to do this as thoroughly as possible so that the meat marinates well. Cover the bowl with the rabbit with a lid or plastic wrap and let it marinate at room temperature for 2–4 hours.

Step 5

For baking, take a heat-resistant dish and grease it with vegetable oil (I usually line the dish with foil beforehand). Place the marinated rabbit meat into the dish. Evenly spread the remaining marinade over all the pieces. Cover the dish with foil and put it in an oven preheated to 190°C for 1.5 hours. During the last 20-30 minutes of baking, remove the top layer of foil and leave the rabbit in the oven so the pieces can brown slightly. Adjust the baking time according to your oven.

Rabbit baked in mayonnaise is ready. Remove the cooked rabbit from the oven and place it onto prepared plates.
