Rabbit stewed with potatoes
Description
This recipe won't take much time. I'll share with you an easy and simple way to prepare rabbit stewed with potatoes. Actually, if you've never cooked rabbit before and don't want to ruin the dish, this method is ideal—tender juicy meat, soft potatoes, and a wonderful aroma, all with minimal effort on your part. Shall we try? 1. Soak the rabbit meat beforehand (preferably in a special marinade for rabbit, or simply add a small amount of vinegar, soy sauce, spices to taste, salt, and pepper to the water). 2. Cut the soaked meat into small pieces. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan or thick-walled pot, and sear the meat for about 5 minutes until a golden crust forms. 4. Wash and peel the onion, potatoes, and carrots, then chop them to your preference—just not too large. 5. Once the meat is seared, add the carrots and onion, and sauté everything together until the onion becomes translucent. 6. Now pour in clean water until it's about 2-3 fingers above the level of the meat. Reduce the heat and simmer for approximately 30 minutes. 7. Add the potatoes, and if needed, more water to cover the potatoes completely. 8. Continue cooking on the stove until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Done! Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs, alongside any vegetable salad for lunch, or as a main dish at a festive table. Be sure to surprise your guests this way!
