
Shrimp Pâté
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. Shrimp pâté is an ideal standalone dish and works as a filling for stuffed eggs, a spread for sandwiches, canapés, or bruschetta. Serve it chilled with various savory baked goods. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Boil the shrimp in advance for 5–8 minutes, depending on their size, and let cool. Alternatively, use already cooked seafood. Hard-boil the chicken eggs for 12 minutes as well and cool them in ice water.

Peel the chicken eggs, rinse them in water together with the green onions. Dice the eggs into small cubes and finely chop the onions. Place everything in the blender bowl.

Peel the shrimp. If you are using king prawns, remove the digestive tract as well and rinse them. Cut into cubes and add to the bowl of a blender or food processor.

Add mayonnaise of any fat content, salt, and ground black pepper. Purée everything on the pulse setting of the appliance for approximately 3–4 minutes.

Place the shrimp pâté in a sauce dish or small bowl and chill in the refrigerator. Serve cold at the table with toast, croutons, toasted bread, and the like.
