
Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp
Description
Perfect with meals and drinks. Serve bacon-wrapped shrimp warm or cold, as an appetizer or with a side. Boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes are ideal sides, along with fresh vegetables. Bacon-wrapped shrimp is a superb, original, piquant, and hearty dish. They are perfect for buffets and also work well for lavish festive feasts or a romantic candlelit dinner.

Step 1

1. Thaw the shrimp completely, wash and peel them. Lightly sprinkle with salt, season with pepper to taste, and drizzle with freshly squeezed juice from half a lemon. Let marinate for 5–10 minutes.

2. Cut the fresh bacon into strips, then cut each strip in half again so you can wrap a shrimp in it.

3. Wrap each shrimp in a strip of bacon, wrapping it around, and pierce through with a toothpick so the bacon does not unwrap during frying.

4. Fry your shrimp in a preheated skillet on all sides for 5–7 minutes. You don’t need to add oil to the pan—the bacon fat will be enough. Bacon-wrapped shrimp are ready!
