Shrimp with cheese and tomatoes
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. 1. First, preheat the oven. 2. Pour a little olive oil into a skillet and place over heat to warm. Meanwhile, peel the onion and chop it into small cubes. Add to the skillet (preferably one that can go directly into the oven) and sauté until golden. 3. Meanwhile, peel the garlic and mince using a press. Add to the onion and cook for another 30 seconds. 4. Wash the tomato and cut into small cubes. For the recipe of shrimp with cheese and tomatoes, I also recommend using dried tomatoes—they will give the dish a special flavor and aroma. 5. Add the tomatoes to the skillet and sauté for a couple of minutes until they release their juice. 6. Thaw the shrimp beforehand. 7. Cut the cheese into small cubes. In this version, soft cheese is used, but you can use hard cheese if desired. 8. Once the tomatoes have released their juice, add the shrimp and cheese to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 9. Add chopped fresh herbs and mix well. 10. Now transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the shrimp with cheese and tomatoes at home until fully cooked. This will take about 10–15 minutes, after which the dish can be served immediately. The finished dish is ready to be served.
