Shrimp with vegetables
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can choose either medium or large shrimp, as long as they are easy to peel. Small shrimp are not suitable for this dish. Pink seafood has already undergone quick heat treatment, so they need to be cooked for 3–5 minutes depending on their size, while gray ones (fresh shrimp) require 5–10 minutes of cooking, depending on size. Serve the shrimp with vegetables either hot or cold—they always taste delicious. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. If the vegetables and seafood are frozen, first defrost them at room temperature for 1 hour.
- 2
Step 2

Remove the seeds from the peppers by cutting off the tops, and break the broccoli florets into smaller pieces. Cut the peppers into portion-sized pieces, but do not chop them finely. Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron, saucepan, or non-stick frying pan, then add the chopped vegetables.

Step 3

Rinse the cherry tomatoes and add them to the container with the other vegetables. It's best to use cherry tomatoes so that the vegetables can fry and become nicely browned. If you have large tomatoes or tomato flesh, first fry the green vegetables and only then add the tomato slices, as they will release juice.

Step 4

Fry everything for 5-6 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- 5
Step 5

Rinse the shrimp in water, shake off the excess liquid, and place them into a container. If desired, you can peel them beforehand if you don't like eating them with shells.
- 6
Step 6

Add salt and ground black pepper, and include other spices or herbs according to your taste.
- 7
Step 7

Wash and chop the green onion, adding it to the other ingredients in the container. Gently mix everything together.
- 8
Step 8

Simmer everything for 15 minutes over medium heat, stirring the contents of the pan every 3 minutes. The shrimp and vegetables will release their juice and braise in it—cooking in their own juices, blending their aromas and flavors.

Step 9

Place the prepared dish on plates and serve hot, or let the shrimp cool down together with the vegetables and then serve. Either way, you're in for an unforgettable taste experience. Don't forget to pour a glass of chilled white wine or beer. Enjoy!
