Shrimp with Garlic
Description
Shrimp of any size can be purchased at a supermarket or fish store. Choose product without an ice glaze, as sellers deliberately add ice to seafood to increase its weight, sometimes two to three times the weight of the shrimp themselves. Add various spices and seasonings to taste when frying. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Thaw the shrimp half an hour before you start cooking and drain off the water. Discard any shrimp with dark spots inside the shell.

Step 2

Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet or kazan on the stove and pour in vegetable oil. Reduce the heat to moderate, warm the oil in the pan, and add the seafood. Add dried garlic and salt. Instead of dried garlic, you can use fresh garlic or garlic scapes.

Step 3

Sauté the shrimp for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally for even cooking. As they cook, the shrimp will release liquid; keep cooking until the liquid has evaporated and they are nicely browned. At that point, you can add other spices.

Step 4

Place the prepared dish on a plate, drizzle with lemon juice by squeezing a quarter of a lemon.

Step 5

Garnish the fried shrimp with lemon slices and fresh herbs, and serve warm at the table.
