Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Peel the potatoes, onion, and garlic, and rinse them under water.
- 2
Step 2

Next, you need to work very quickly, because grated potato darkens when it comes into contact with air. Grate all the potatoes on a fine-holed grater into a deep bowl. Grate the onion and garlic the same way as the potato. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3
Step 3

Crack the chicken egg into a container and add the sour cream. Whisk everything thoroughly.
- 4
Step 4

Add the wheat flour and knead the potato dough.
- 5
Step 5

Melt 1 tbsp lard in a skillet and spoon portions of the batter into it with the same tablespoon. Fry over medium heat until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Flip onto the other side and fry for 2 more minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Arrange the kremzliki on a plate and serve hot, with sour cream. The Hutsuls bake such pancakes in a small pot with pork and sour cream, serving the dish in the same vessel in which it was cooked.
