Ricotta cream
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Ricotta cream is very popular among Italians. They use this cream as a filling for various cakes and desserts. For example, the famous Sicilian cannoli pastries are most commonly filled with ricotta. Among all types of cream cheese (such as Philadelphia and mascarpone), ricotta is the lowest in calories and the most affordable. Essentially, this ricotta cream can be served as a dessert on its own, pairing perfectly with coffee. Serve it chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Place the cheese in the bowl in which we will prepare the cream.
- 2
Step 2

Add powdered sugar or regular sugar to the cheese to taste. If you use regular sugar, you'll need to mix the cream longer to ensure the sugar dissolves completely.
- 3
Step 3

Due to the sugar, the cheese will slightly melt and become liquid, with a consistency similar to cream.
- 4
Step 4

Then add cinnamon to the cheese. WARNING! Cinnamon is essential; without it, ricotta will never turn into a cream.
- 5
Step 5

Next, grated chocolate can be added to the ricotta cream. But this is no longer necessary.
- 6
Step 6

Mix everything thoroughly and the cream is ready. It is not recommended to store ricotta cream in the refrigerator for more than a day.
