Grain Crackers
Description
These crackers are made from two types of flour—rye and wheat, but if necessary you can use only wheat flour or add other types of flour while keeping the ingredient ratios. You can also incorporate not only sesame and sunflower seeds into the dough, but also poppy seeds, nuts, pumpkin or flax seeds. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients needed for making crackers. For this type of baking, it is preferable to use finely ground (quick-cooking) oatmeal flakes, or you can pre-grind them in a blender if using classic ones.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep bowl, sift two types of flour (rye and wheat), add salt and baking powder, and mix.
- 3
Step 3

Add oatmeal, sesame, and sunflower seeds to the flour mixture, and combine the dry components.
- 4
Step 4

Pour water and sunflower oil into the prepared dry mixture, and stir.
- 5
Step 5

Knead a soft, sticky-to-the-hands dough. It should not be stiff, so that the crackers turn out crispy and crumbly.
- 6
Step 6

Moistening your hands in water, spread the dough over the bottom of the prepared baking sheet as a rectangular slab 5–7 mm thick and make longitudinal and crosswise cuts so that small rectangles are formed.
- 7
Step 7

Bake the grain crackers in a preheated oven at 190°C for 40–50 minutes until golden.
- 8
Step 8

Cool the finished crackers and enjoy the healthy unsweetened baked goods.
