Description

Delicious baked treats for the whole family. Of course, you can always buy crackers at the store and save time. But you'll simply never find crackers as fragrant and tasty as these on the market—only at home can you add basil, herbes de Provence, ground pepper, and nutmeg to the dough. The spices give the finished crackers a spicy, savory flavor, while sesame seeds and Parmesan serve as a garnish. You can substitute Parmesan with any hard cheese of your choice. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

    1. Mix the sifted flour with sugar and cold butter. Rub the flour into a uniform crumb. Add nutmeg, Provence herbs, basil, salt, and pepper.

    2. Mix the cold water with the egg and add to the flour mixture. Quickly knead the dough. Roll out the dough into a 3-4 mm thick sheet and cut out the crackers.

    3. Place the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with salt. Decorate the crackers with grated Parmesan, white and black sesame seeds.
