Description

Homemade baked goods for tea. For making the crackers, it is best to use a ripe banana, as it will be easier to mash. If your banana is quite firm, grate it on a coarse or medium grater. If you do not like honey in baked goods or cannot use it, replace it with sugar or Jerusalem artichoke syrup. The dough is easiest to cut with a pizza roller, or you can use cookie cutters. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

    Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making banana crackers. Wash the banana thoroughly and dry it.

    Combine the wheat flour and baking soda, sift into a bowl. Add the salt and mix. Add the butter and quickly rub everything together until it resembles fine crumbs.

    Peel the banana and mash it with a fork. Dissolve the honey in hot water until smooth. Add the banana and honey to the bowl with the flour crumbs.

    Quickly knead a soft, non-sticky dough.

    Lightly dust the dough with flour and roll it out into a rectangle no thicker than 5 mm. Cut into squares and prick each one with a fork.

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat and arrange the crackers on it. Place the baking sheet in a hot oven and bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes. Let the finished crackers cool, then remove them from the baking sheet.
