Red pancakes
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Red pancakes are prepared almost the same way as regular pancakes. The only difference is that beet puree is added to the batter, giving the pancakes their distinctive color. The result is very tasty and original. I'm sure these little pancakes will especially appeal to picky eaters, as children love everything unique and unusual. Well then, have a look. They can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Boil the beet beforehand until fully cooked.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the cooked beet into small pieces and pour over with milk. Blend everything with an immersion blender until smooth.
- 3
Step 3

Then add eggs, vegetable oil, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well with a hand whisk or mixer.
- 4
Step 4

Add the flour in small portions and mix. The consistency should be slightly thicker than regular pancake batter.
- 5
Step 5

Leave the finished dough for 30 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Heat the pan well (I don't grease it with oil anymore since there's already oil in the batter). Then pour a small amount of batter and quickly spread it over the surface of the pan. Cook the pancakes over medium heat for just about a minute, then flip.
- 7
Step 7

The red (or, I'd even say, pink) pancakes are ready. You can serve them with any filling or simply as they are.

Step 8

Enjoy your meal!
