Beautiful buns made from yeast dough
Description
This is a very interesting, though extremely simple recipe for attractive buns made from yeast dough. Bright and appetizing, they somewhat resemble pineapple flesh or a turtle's shell. By the way, you can use the latter as inspiration and get creative with the buns before serving. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

1. First, prepare the base. In a deep bowl, combine the cream, milk, egg, sugar, yeast, flour, and salt.
- 2
Step 2

2. Kitchen appliances will significantly simplify the process. In just 15 minutes, a smooth, soft, elastic dough will be ready. Cover it with a towel and leave in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- 3
Step 3

3. Prepare small paper liners (or use muffin tins, as suggested in the recipe for making attractive buns from yeast dough). Divide the dough into 12–15 equal pieces. Roll them into balls and place in the liners. Let the dough rise once again, leaving it for about 1 hour.

Step 4

4. In a separate bowl, combine dry milk, baking powder, and sugar. Mix well. Add a couple of tablespoons of milk, vanilla extract, margarine, and egg yolk. Knead into a smooth dough.
- 5
Step 5

5. Divide into the same number of small portions and roll out into a very thin sheet. It is most convenient to lift from the work surface using a spatula.
- 6
Step 6

6. Carefully transfer them onto the buns, which have already risen well. By this time, the oven should be preheated.
- 7
Step 7

7. To make the buns made from yeast dough bright and attractive, brush the tops with beaten egg yolk. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes (depending on the size).
- 8
Step 8

8. As a result, the buns have such an interesting texture.
- 9
Step 9

9. For children, you can create an interesting version: shape not only balls but also a small head and legs to make a turtle.
- 10
Step 10

10. On top, place a round of dough, brush with egg yolk, and bake in the oven as well. If you have time, you can additionally decorate this little turtle using food coloring and edible markers. It turns out very original, and most importantly—delicious.
