Rice Halva

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Every time I went to the store and passed by this Georgian sweet, I couldn't resist buying it, because I absolutely love halva-like bars (kозinaki). But recently, I learned from a friend the recipe for making rice kozinaki and decided to try making them myself. I'll be honest—I had to run around a bit to find all the necessary ingredients, but it was definitely worth it, because the kozinaki turned out incredibly delicious, in my opinion even better than the store-bought version. So, if you know where to get puffed rice, silan (date syrup), and tahini, and don't mind spending a couple of hours preparing them, I'll tell you how to make rice kozinaki. By the way, you can add any nuts and dried fruits you like. The finished dessert is ready to be served.

Kozinaki should be placed on parchment paper greased with butter, but I use baking molds (also greased) for this purpose.

Transfer the prepared mixture into a mold, spread it evenly and press it down slightly, then place it in the refrigerator.

In about an hour, the halva will be ready, and all we'll have to do is cut it into pieces.
