Mushroom Cutlets
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Although in our household making meatballs is exclusively my husband's job (he's a great cook), I always watch the process closely, and I'm happy to share with you how to make mushroom-stuffed meatballs that are simply impossible to resist. To be honest, I had known several recipes for different types of stuffed meatballs for a long time, but once my husband made these mushroom-filled ones, and I realized I knew nothing about making meatballs at all. Since then, I never do anything without his expert advice, but he has taught me once and for all how to make delicious meatballs, and now I want to share this wonderful recipe for mushroom meatballs with you. The finished dish can now be served at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

Place the bread (preferably stale) into a bowl and pour water or milk over it. While the bread is soaking, peel and finely chop the onion. Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.

Step 2

Now transfer it to the minced meat, add soaked and squeezed bread, egg, mayonnaise, salt, and spices. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 3

We'll set the meat filling aside for a while and now turn to the mushrooms. Wash the mushrooms and cut them into medium-sized pieces. Sauté them in vegetable oil until they're not overcooked, but the excess moisture has evaporated.

Step 4

Now take a small piece of the filling and shape it into a patty, place a bit of the filling in the center.

Step 5

And wrap it from all sides so that we get a patty with mushrooms inside.

Step 6

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and place the patties seam-side down. Sear on high heat until golden brown on all sides, then reduce the heat. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for a few more minutes.
