Description

Quick and fun mice will add variety to your festive table—for example, meat patties can be shaped into hamsters. This hot dish will be enjoyed by both adults and children! These little mice taste especially delicious with boiled pasta, mashed potatoes, or a fresh vegetable salad. You can use any type of minced meat.

Grate the hard cheese on a fine grater and mix it into the minced meat together with the contents of the chicken egg, salt, and ground black pepper. Shape the mixture into small patties, flattening one edge to create mouse snouts. Place the patties into a greased baking dish. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the patties for about 25–30 minutes.

Place fresh herbs on a plate. Peel the carrot, rinse it in water, and slice it into rounds. Optionally, you can boil the vegetable beforehand. Make a cut in the patty and insert two carrot slices as the mouse's ears. Use mayonnaise to attach the eyes made from peas and the nose made from black pepper. If desired, you can make a tail from cheese; otherwise, leave them as cute little hamsters.

Serve the patties warm with any prepared side dish or vegetable salad.
