Pike cutlets with cheese
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Pike cutlets are very easy to make, and the step-by-step instructions will guide you. Instead of oat flakes, you can use white bread soaked in milk. Bavarian mustard is not a mandatory ingredient, but it adds a slightly piquant flavor to the cutlets. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

It's better to prepare the fillet in advance: remove the pike's head and fins, then cut along the backbone with a sharp knife.
- 3
Step 3

Remove the backbone and the skin. You'll get excellent fillet.
- 4
Step 4

Pass the pike fillet and onion through a meat grinder, add egg, one teaspoon of Bavarian mustard, oat flakes, salt and pepper to taste to the minced mixture. Mix well.
- 5
Step 5

Grate the cheese on a grater.
- 6
Step 6

Make a patty from the minced meat and place cheese in the center.
- 7
Step 7

Form the patties, coat them in breadcrumbs, and fry in a preheated pan with vegetable oil.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the cutlets with any side dish you like; in my recipe, the side dish was eggplant Parmigiana.
- 9
Step 9

The pike cutlets turned out soft and juicy, with a surprise inside — a delicate cheese filling.
