Pork fat patties
Description
We're all used to adding pork fat to fish patties. Sometimes it's even added to meat or chicken patties. But why not make patties from fat alone? Of course, this dish is for true enthusiasts, as the patties turn out quite fatty. You can use either salted or unsalted pork fat, with meat or without. Here's how to make pork fat patties: 1. Soak bread in milk. If you're using 300 grams of fat, one loaf of bread will be enough. 2. Squeeze the bread and mash it well. 3. Meanwhile, cut the pork fat into small cubes. 4. Pass both the fat and the bread through a meat grinder. 5. Finely chop onion and add it to the mixture. Run everything through the meat grinder once again. 6. Add an egg to the mixture, season with salt and pepper. You can also add any spices you like. Chopped fresh herbs also make a delicious addition. 7. Shape the mixture into patties and fry them in oil on both sides until they develop a delicious golden crust. Ready! Serve the pork fat patties with vegetables or rice.
