Mushroom cutlets
Description
This is a very interesting yet quite simple recipe for mushroom patties that you will undoubtedly enjoy. I often prepare them for my family, and they are always thrilled—especially the kids, who can't get enough of them (while they remain indifferent toward meat patties). All you need to make them is about a kilogram of any mushrooms. Personally, I usually use button mushrooms since they are always available and cook faster, but you can use any mushrooms you prefer. Now I'll explain in detail how to make mushroom patties incredibly delicious and aromatic.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

I used frozen mushrooms, so before starting to cook, I placed them in boiling water and cooked for 15 minutes.
- 2
Step 2

While the mushrooms are boiling, we peel the onion and chop it as finely as possible.
- 3
Step 3

Place the loaf (preferably yesterday's) in a bowl and pour milk over it, let it sit for 10 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

When the mushrooms are well boiled, we drain them in a colander and then blend them in a blender until they turn into a minced mixture.
- 5
Step 5

In a separate container, break 2 eggs, add salt, and beat thoroughly until foam forms.
- 6
Step 6

Now combine all the ingredients: transfer the mushroom filling, squeezed bread, finely chopped onion, and herbs into the bowl with the eggs. Mix thoroughly.
- 7
Step 7

Add salt and spices and mix again. If the filling turns out too liquid, you can add a little breadcrumbs.
- 8
Step 8

Sprinkle the table with breadcrumbs, place the formed patties on them, and sprinkle the patties with breadcrumbs on top as well.
- 9
Step 9

Now heat vegetable oil in a skillet and fry the patties on all sides until golden brown. Serve the cooked patties with any side dish; they go especially well with mashed potatoes.
