Cutlets

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. My children love the "Nests" cutlets – in fact, I cook them especially for them. The cutlets turn out wonderfully tender, smooth, and juicy – we really enjoy them. These cutlets look festive enough to be served at a holiday table, so don't hesitate. A plate of mashed potatoes with a couple of these nests isn't haute cuisine or gourmet food, of course, but it's still very delicious. A simple yet tasty Russian home-cooked dish. Nothing fancy, but made with soul :) Well, enough talking – let me tell you how to make it. The ready dish can now be served at the table.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, you need to prepare the mince. For this, mix the mince, one onion ground through a meat grinder, egg, salt, and pepper. Knead thoroughly, then shape large patties from the resulting mince.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Heat oil in a frying pan. Sear the patties on one side for 1-2 minutes over high heat. We need one side of the patties to develop a crust, while the patties themselves remain raw inside.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

No need to flip. Fry only on one side.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Place the patties, seared on one side, onto a greased baking sheet, seared side down. Use your hands to make indentations in the center of the patties, forming "nests."

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

The specified quantity of ingredients yields a whole tray of beautiful little nests. At the same time, sauté finely chopped mushrooms and the second onion until soft.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Place the sautéed mushrooms into the indentations. Lightly spread mayonnaise on top (optional) and sprinkle with cheese.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 190 degrees and bake for approximately 35 minutes, until fully cooked. Serve hot.
