Shortcrust pastry cups with cream

Description

Perfect with tea and coffee. Delicious tartlets with a velvety cream and strawberries. They are great for gatherings with friends or for an ordinary morning coffee. The base is crispy, and the mascarpone with cream pairs wonderfully with strawberries. Instead of strawberries, you can use other berries such as raspberries, blueberries, or others. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

    Sift the flour with the baking powder. Add the butter, cut into small cubes, and cut it into the flour using a knife until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

    Then add sugar and egg, knead the dough. Place the dough in the refrigerator for several hours (if you're in a hurry, put it in the freezer for 15 minutes).

    Roll out the dough thinly and cut out circles with a diameter of 14-15 cm. Place the dough into molds, prick with a fork, and bake for 15-18 minutes at 180°C. Let the baked shells cool.

    Meanwhile, melt the chocolate over a water bath and cool it. Beat the cooled mascarpone, then add it and mix gently. Add the chocolate and stir gently. Spread the jam on the tartlets and top with the cream.

    Slice the strawberries and place them on the cream. Garnish with mint leaves. Store the dessert in the refrigerator.
