
Sugar korzhiki
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. The preparation doesn’t take long, and you can knead the dough even without a mixer. The cookies come out incredibly fragrant, tender, pleasantly crumbly, and of course absolutely delicious! The recipe is quite simple and quick, and you can adjust it with aromatic add-ins to suit your taste. I offer you a tried-and-tested recipe that I’ve made many times! Take note of it.

Prepare all the ingredients as listed. If you do not like cinnamon, you can leave it out, and you may replace the orange zest with vanillin if you wish.

Combine the sour cream and egg yolks. Mix.

Add sugar, honey, vegetable oil, the zest of one orange, cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice.

Mix and first add top-grade flour and baking soda.

Then add the wholemeal flour gradually and continue kneading by hand. The dough should not be stiff; if it sticks heavily to your hands, you can add another 1–2 tbsp top-grade/all-purpose flour.

Let the dough rest, covered with a towel, for 15 minutes, then knead briefly again.

Grease your work surface with vegetable oil or dust it with flour. Roll out the dough to about 30 cm in diameter and no more than 1 cm thick.

Invert a glass and cut out the rounds. With a brush, brush each round with milk and dip one side in sugar.

Use the dull side of the knife to trace a snowflake pattern, then transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the rounds a short distance apart from one another.

Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15–17 minutes. The sugar cookies are ready.
