Smoked pork ribs
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Personally, I prefer hot-smoked pork ribs the most. To prepare them, you'll need to be patient: they take about 4 hours to smoke in a grill or smoker. A spice mix will give them a rich aroma and thoroughly season the meat. By the way, you can smoke the ribs in the oven if it has a grill function. The finished dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ribs. If you bought them with the membrane, be sure to remove it.
- 2
Step 2

Mix all the spices together. I add about one-third of a cup of salt. If the salt is coarse, I recommend grinding it in a mortar. Rub the ribs thoroughly with the spice mixture.

Step 3

Prepare the smoker: light the fire and spread out the coals. The internal temperature should reach 250 degrees. Then, on the lower grate, push the coals to one side, place a foil container underneath, and pour water into it. Be sure to add oak wood chips (or chips from other hardwood trees) to the coals.

Step 4

When the grill has heated up, set the grate in place. Place the ribs over the container with water. Put another container next to the ribs.
- 5
Step 5

After an hour of cooking, the temperature will rise to 275 degrees. Wrap the ribs in foil and cook for another hour.
- 6
Step 6

Then remove the foil so the ribs can brown and crisp up. Add more oak chips and coals, and cook for another hour to an hour and a half. The entire process takes about 4 hours.

Step 7

Let the ready smoked pork ribs cool for 15-20 minutes in a closed container. Serve with vegetables, beer, and sauces.
