
Smoked pork knuckle
Description
This ham hock is a perfect excuse for a gathering with friends. It's prepared outdoors, and the recipe is quite simple—easy enough even for a beginner cook. The main ingredients are just a pork knuckle and spices you likely already have on hand. Most of the preparation time is dedicated to marinating the pork and smoking it.

1. Before preparing smoked pork knuckle, buy good quality pork and marinate it. Take all the spices you have at home and rub them into the meat. You can use adjika, black pepper, salt, and garlic. Place the knuckle into a bowl and put it in the refrigerator to marinate. It will take one or even two days for the pork to be ready for smoking.

2. Take out the smoker. Prepare it for use. Line the bottom of the smoker with a layer of aluminum foil. Place smoking wood chips on it. Cover with another layer of foil. Insert the rack and place the pork knuckle on top.

3. Cover the smoker with a lid. Place the meat in the smoker inside the barbecue. After an hour, the knuckle will be ready. Remove it from the smoker and serve. The knuckle is especially delicious served with fresh vegetables and herbs.
