Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface.
- 2
Step 2

Give the rolled dough the proper shape. Trim the edges. Cut the dough itself into rectangles.
- 3
Step 3

Place the filling on each rectangle. This can be chocolate, fresh cherries, thick jam, jelly, nut-sugar filling, or cottage cheese.
- 4
Step 4

I use cherries from cherry jam.
- 5
Step 5

To prevent the cherry filling from leaking during baking, add a tablespoon of starch to the cherries. Mix well. Place a tablespoon of filling into each pastry shell.
- 6
Step 6

Cover the filling with the second part of the rectangle, seal the edges well by pinching them together. Trim any irregularities and create a decorative edge with a fork.
- 7
Step 7

Place the parcels on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the parcels with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
