Description

Perfect for tea and coffee. I suggest a very tasty recipe for turnovers made with yeast-free puff pastry. The filling can be any kind. If you use a different type of filling, please take that into account. For berry fillings, it's better to add a little starch to prevent the juice from leaking during baking.

    To make puff pastry turnovers, we need the pastry dough itself. Thaw it. Dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough into a 0.5 cm thick sheet.

    Cut the apple pulp into cubes. Cut the dough into squares.

    Place a teaspoon of sugar on top of the apples. During baking, the sugar will mix with the apple juice and form caramel.

    Add a little cinnamon. Join the edges of the dough, enclosing the filling inside. This will create what are known as "pockets." Seal the edges well. It's best to brush the inner edges of the squares with beaten egg yolk. This way, the apple caramel won't leak out during baking.

    Place the parcels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each parcel with beaten egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (15 minutes). Bake the parcels in the oven.
