Canned Tomatoes with Peppers
Description
Winter preserves at home. It’s time to think about winter preserves. Today we’ll work on tomatoes with peppers. Sterilize the jars and place dill, allspice and black peppercorns, onion and carrot slices on the bottom of each. Add sweet pepper halves and pack the tomatoes tightly. Add a bay leaf and a split garlic clove. Carefully fill the jars with boiling water and let stand for 15 minutes. Drain the brine, add salt, sugar, and vinegar, and bring to a boil. Then pour into the jars and seal. Wrap the jars in a blanket and leave for 24 hours. Happy preserving! The preserve is ready for winter storage.
