
Congrio with potatoes
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Congrio is a healthy and tasty fish, also known as shrimp fish. This fish is best baked. For heartiness, we add potatoes. The dish turns out elegant and delicious, perfect as a festive centerpiece. Serve the finished dish at the table.

Step 1

1. First, thaw the fish, then clean it from the insides and cut into slices about three to four centimeters thick. Rinse thoroughly under running water. Dry the fish pieces with paper towels or napkins. Now season the fish with black pepper and salt. Lightly drizzle with lemon juice and let it marinate for about thirty minutes.

2. Peel the potatoes and onions, then slice them into rings. Lightly drizzle the potato pieces with lemon juice to prevent them from darkening. Marinate the onion rings in a mixture of lemon juice and water (1:1 ratio) for thirty minutes. Do not soak the potatoes in water, to prevent them from becoming watery.

3. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, place a layer of potatoes on the bottom, sprinkle slightly with black pepper and salt. Place the marinated onions on top of the potato layer, then arrange the fish pieces on top of the onions.

Bake the fish with potatoes for approximately forty minutes over medium heat. Place slices of fish, onion, and some potatoes onto plates. Before serving, sprinkle the fish with a little lemon juice.
