Step 1

1. Now I will explain in detail and show you how to make pepper confiture. To begin with, wash and dry the sweet peppers. Remove the stems and seeds and cut into small pieces. You can use not only red but also orange or yellow peppers (green may produce a less attractive shade).

Step 2

2. Wash and clean the hot pepper. To reduce the heat, you can remove the seeds. Cut into small pieces.

Step 3

3. Transfer everything to a blender and blend. If desired, leave medium-sized pieces for texture, or blend until smooth.

Step 4

4. Squeeze the juice from the lemon. In a saucepan, combine the water, lemon juice, and sugar. Place over heat and, stirring constantly, dissolve the sugar completely.

Step 5

5. Once the sugar has fully dissolved, you can add the peppers to the pot. Stir thoroughly and bring to a boil. Foam will form during cooking; skim it off carefully with a slotted spoon. Homemade pepper jam should be simmered over low heat for about 50 minutes.

Step 6
