Step 1

So, I have some dried fruits from the store and some that I managed to dry myself. I wash all the dried fruits thoroughly under running water, especially the store-bought ones, after soaking them in water for half an hour.

Step 2

I put a pot of water on the stove. I add washed dried fruits and a little frozen raspberry from the freezer. For tanginess and aroma, I add pieces of half a sliced lemon.

Step 3

Bring the pot contents to a boil over low heat. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar to taste. Keep the compote on a low simmer and cook for another half hour.

Step 4

I turn off the heat under the finished compote and leave it to cool right on the stove. By the way, this drink is perfect for treating various colds. For medicinal purposes, of course, it should be consumed hot. I recommend everyone else to cool the compote before drinking!
