Plum compote for winter
Description
To prepare plum compote for winter, sterilize the jar and lid in advance. Wash and select firm, healthy fruits. Place them into jars, pour boiling water over the plums, put the jars into a pot with hot water, and sterilize for 10 minutes for a 1-liter jar, or 15 minutes for a 3-liter jar. Since the plums contain pits, the compote can be stored for up to 1 year. I usually use 1-liter jars because they are easier to sterilize and more convenient to store, but if needed, you can use 3-liter jars and multiply the ingredients by three. The amount of water is relative—just enough to fill the jar. The drink is ready to serve.
